The red pepper soup is a popular favorite when you are stopping by for the evening, and then play a few games to end it all up. This is a great Irish Pub that provides both a full-service restaurant and banquet facilities. And if you would like some traditional Irish dishes, this is the one to choose.

The area of Moultrie County, IL was originally formed when land was taken from two other counties, Macon and Shelby, during 1943. This was done to help celebrate General William Moultrie, who was able to successfully defend Sullivan’s Island in South Carolina. The site was later renamed Fort Moultrie.

• World’s Largest Rocking Chair: If you are in Moultrie County, IL, take the time to go and visit the largest rocking chair (not far from the TD Bank and Dominion offices). This one is close to the largest wind chime, so you are able to hit both of them in one stop. This is a great place to bring the kids to run around and even try to climb up the chair and wear out. Many people make a trip just to see this, but you may find it is a great place to stop to wear the kids out when you are on a long trip.
• World’s Largest Wind Chime: This free attraction is just a mile off the highway and is close to the golf course and the Whitling Whimsy café, so you will be able to find a lot to do in the same area. This thing is huge, and provides some beautiful music when the wind blows right through it. Do you think that your friends and family will believe that you saw a giant wind chime when you get back home?
• Alberton Park & Retreat Center: If you like to spend a lot of time in nature, then this is the first place that you can start. It has more than 500 acres of contiguous forest, one of only three areas in the state. You can wander through the area or even check out the Fu Dog garden that is right at the interest of the park. The mansion is cool to tour and there are a lot of weddings that happen here so you know it is the spot to visit.
• University of Illinois Arboretum: This place as many different garden areas, ponds with koi, and even a Japan house, though you will need to check out the hours before you stop by. This can make it a great place to just walk around and relax, without having to worry about it getting too busy.
